In 2020, people around the world tried to overcome being isolated and feeling lonely through TikTok as they had to spend more time at home due to COVID-19. They established untact relationships by communicating with other users and participating in trends through videos, dancing, and singing duets. People have no choice but to experience culture through video due to travel restrictions. And, as videos uploaded on TikTok receive many questions about Korea, answering them contributed to addressing cultural misunderstandings and curiosities. Cultural exchanges were also made by recommending the latest popular dramas in Korea and China. I became better acquainted with China by communicating with my followers, and they also got to know more about Korea through TikTok.
